Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): Informal District Voting

Virgin Islands Elections
Won't Informal District Voting give certain groups more representation?
The only difference between you and a member of any other group is the extent to which you choose to take on the responsibility for choosing your representation.

Who or what is "The Mission V.I."?
"The Mission V.I." is a group of ordinary citizens like you and me, who are serious about sharing the fact that the election process belongs to all of us, and that WE can, by our actions, draft and select qualified candidates to do public service. It's not about a personality, political affiliation or social status. It's about counting every person... because everyone counts.

Do I have to attend any meetings to be a part of "The Mission V.I."?
There are no meetings or criteria to being a part of "The Mission V.I." except a burning desire to improve the quality, productivity and delivery of government service for the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Town meetings, public hearings and other gatherings (as shared by participants) may be announced at www.themissionvi.org, but these invitations are as presented to the general public, not a particular group.

Are there any dues, or can I make a donation?
"The Mission V.I." does not solicit funds.

Does "The Mission V.I." endorse political candidates?
Persons who appreciate the philosophy of "The Mission V.I." are entitled to their own personal opinions regarding political candidates and/or parties, but "The Mission V.I." does not in any way espouse any candidate or party. Our platform, however, is clear: our public servants should be responsible and responsive to their communities and the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands!
